Jeanne and I went to the Philippines in January 1979 with the Evangelical Free Church Missions Department, currently called ReachGlobal. We did a variety of work including administration, education and church work.
Care Group Lesson Books
Care Group Lessons (English with Cebuano) Books 1, 2 and 3, each have over twenty five lessons on a variety of topics related to the Christian life. They are intentionally non-sequential so that newcomers to the group will not feel disadvantaged. They were designed for central and southern Philippines where the language ability of individual members of the group will reflect a mixture of languages and fluency levels. Thus the small-pieces format provided the leader with simultaneous access to both languages. A lead-as-you-read simplicity allows for maximum reproducibility.
